HEALING THE WOUNDS OF OUR ANCESTORS

with a special presentation on suicde and depression

March 27 , 2010

9:30 am to 3pm

Imprinting involves accepting beliefs before you have the ability to understand them. Many imprints are the result of the unexpressed yearnings and/or emotional wounds of our ancestors. Deep desires, deep fears, and secrets - hidden yet kept alive in the subconscious - can be passed on to each generation. I once had a client say to me, “I feel that I am carrying the burden of all my ancestors’ unfinished dreams, and I don’t know which dreams are truly my own”.

During your life, the process of challenging your imprinted beliefs will lead you to a set of personal truths to which you can commit yourself. A personal truth must have meaning for you; it must feed your soul and lead you to joy and fulfillment. If during this journey you realize that you are on a belief path that no longer feels appropriate, you are free to transform your beliefs and choose a new path.

This workshop will focus on identifying the limitations and judgments that have come down through your family – particularly those that may be holding you back from achieving your own dreams. In addition, we will identify the traits of excellence your ancestors bequeathed to you, and how they prepared the way for you to be right where you are today.

To prepare for this class, the book “An Intimate History of Humanity” is highly recommended.

Addendum: Feb, 2010

Suicide among young people is at an all-time rate, as is depression among all ages. These are two subjects very close to my heart. We are going to spend several hours in this class looking at the PROCESS and PURPOSE of depression, and why, when it is not understood, can lead to suicide. Young adults between the ages of 14 and 27 are particularly susceptible to suicidal depression, as they are in a "watery" state, which pulls them deep into the collective feelings. As our foundations rock and shift, much fear and anxiety is generated. These feelings settle into the chasm of our collective unconscious.

Young adults spend much of their time bobbing around in the collective unconscious as they develop their identity. The challenge is they are unable to discern the difference between what they are feeling and who they are. This can cause heightened states of fear and anxiety, and a need to take dramatic actions.

If you know someone who has lost a loved one to suicide, or struggles with depression, remember that we are offering 5 scholarships to this class. If you would like to know more about the purpose of depression, this class will give you a very different perspective, and some practical solutions.

"If you look deeply into the palm of your hand, you will see your parents and all generations of your ancestors. All of them are alive in this moment. Each is present in your body. You are the continuation of each of these people".
