About Cat
Cat Thompson is an author, filmmaker, researcher, artist and healer. Since 1993, she has been exploring the field of emotion as a technology for change. She has hosted hundreds of workshops, local and international retreats and has a private practice for individuals and couples. Her book “The Secret Language of Emotion, Decoding the Mystery of Feelings” was first published in 2020 and has recently become available on Amazon. She is committed to helping people understand how emotion creates our every experience, and how group emotion can swiftly change a reality. As we watch outdated structures collapsing, the tools offered in this retreat will provide a solid foundation from which to consciously choose how we will rebuild our world.
Accommodations - location and lodging?
You’ll be staying at the beautiful Villa Ataraxia in Solferino, Mexico. Located 90 minutes from the Cancun airport, the breathtaking property will cocoon you in a bubble of peace, piercing night skies and spiritual support from the Devas of the jungle. You can choose a single, double or a triple room and retreat prices will depend on your room choice.
What can I expect for weather?
The Yucatan in January is for the most part warm and sunny. There may be occasional cloudbursts but they rarely last long. It can get cool at night so be sure to have sweaters or other outwear to keep warm.
What should I bring?
A detailed list will be sent to you when you sign up and pay your deposit.
Where do I fly into? What’s the best way to get to the retreat Villa?
We ask that you arrive before 2pm on Saturday, March 15. You’ll be flying into the Cancun airport and then taking the shuttle for the Fairfield Marriot Airport Hotel. We have a room set aside for you to store your luggage, grab some snacks and drinks, and hang out by the pool until the 4pm van brings you to the retreat. To get there from Cancun, Playa del Carmen or Tulum, public or private transportation is available.
When can I arrive?
The retreat starts Saturday, March 15. You are welcome to come early and/or stay late. Contact Villa Ataraxia for reduced rates for additional days (exclusively for retreat participants).
Can I join the retreat later than the start date or just come for a few days?
The retreat is an immersive experience and requires full participation.
Are there any medical staff on site?
There is NOT a medical staff on site however there is a medical clinic in the nearby village.
How do I pay?
You can pay with either Zelle, Venmo, PayPal, Monogram and Western Union.
Are men allowed?
This is a retreat for women focused on unique feminine knowledge, so no, men are not permitted.
Class time - what will we be learning?
You can get a snippet of what will be offered in the outdoor classroom by the descriptions on the home page. There are short videos on Cat’s YouTube channel introducing a few of the topics we’ll be covering. If you have questions about any subject, feel free to reach out to Cat.

$1,800 USD for a double room and $2,100 USD for a single room. BONUS!! Refer a friend who registers and receive a 10% discount.
Refund and Cancellation Policy
A deposit of $1,200 is due when you register, with the remaining amount due February 15. Cancellation policy is on your waiver.
What’s included
Along with your room, we have a private chef preparing fresh, regional cuisine for breakfast and dinner. Vegan and vegetarian options will be available. For lunch, you can use the communal kitchen to prepare fresh foods from the local market, the chef can prepare a la carte lunches, or you can walk into Solferino for local food. Yoga will be offered at 7am each day. The Cacao Ceremony and the Spring Equinox Ceremony is included to bookend your experience.

Daily yoga and healing circles
Each morning at 7am we’ll meet in the rotunda for an hour of sunrise yoga. Healing circles will be held on some evenings. An itinerary of events with more details will be sent out early February.
